I originate from Devon and have lived in Brecon for over 6 years since taking on contract bird survey work in the area. When not surveying I worked in private gardens carrying out maintenance and also creating wildlife areas. Now retired, but am still renovating a neighbours garden as well as recreating my own.
I spend a much of my spare time working as a volunteer manager on a small Wildlife Trust reserve where I have been trying to restore the neglected reserve back to some of its former glory and when not working I attempt to identify much of the flora and fauna.
I also walk with a friend once a week and another friend every 2 or 3 weeks. On top of this I try to walk the 20 minute walk to town on a regular basis to shop for groceries of which I attempt to buy heathy organic and so on. I also studied nutrition last year. As a result I would consider myself to be reasonably fit and healthy.
